Conservation district officials serve on a multi member board that establishes and implements programs to protect and conserve soil, water, prime and unique farmland, rangeland, woodland, wildlife, energy and other renewable resources on local, non-federal lands.

  • Bent CD has rain gauges from WeatherYourWay, the official dealer for CoCoRaHS.     CoCoRaHS   (Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network)


  • The rain gauges are free of charge for any landowner, producer within the District, that will participate as volunteers recording data to the CoCoRaHs website or apps.

The Bent Conservation District would like to congratulate Summer Lovato, a Las Animas High School graduate.  Summer is the 2019 recipient of the Bent CD Annual Scholarship Program.  The program is designed to recognize outstanding student leadership, community service, and to promote students to pursue careers in agriculture related fields.
